Words from the architect
The extension to my parents' farmhouse at the Roots farm in Dahanu, India, involved recycling elements from an older house, respecting the Spartan ethic of the original, modest two-room house, and utilizing limited resources and local building skills to form a home that would be open to all, and remain intermeshed with the farm, as my father's life was.
