Words from the architect

The apartment was designed to provide sober and elegant spaces with special regard to the existing layout configuration which couldn't be missed out. Thus both the original context as well as the interests of the client, emerged as the first generators of the design.

In the way to obtain a continuous and at the same time private setting, the contemporary kitchen has been designed as a part of the immediate living space context. The big sliding door provides a visual link with the sitting room, while the apartment corridor acts like a separated distribution axis for the rooms spaces.

The semi-translucent glass slabs are used throughout to create random cut-shapes on the walls allowing penetration of natural and artificial light, as well as the carved false ceiling in the sitting room with shifting sharp geometries spreading light from above.
