Eindhoven Airport Terminal

In a nod to Barnett Newman's painting -- Who's Afraid of Red, Yellow and Blue -- the Eindhoven Airport Terminal adopts the primary colors to aid its fun.

The Building

The new terminal at Eindhoven Airport is designed to process between 1.2 and 1.5 million business travellers and tourists every year. Besides channelling this traffic smoothly and safely through departures and arrivals, the airport offers them a pleasant space to pause, dine or interact within.

The new terminal is interpreted as a 'machine' that processes the primary flow of departing and arriving passengers through the terminal in an efficient manner. The departure, arrival and baggage halls are located on the ground level. The hospitality areas, offices and the panorama terrace are located on the level above.
