The key plan, containing the eight cubic buildings, each having a footprint of 8m x 6m.

North Facade.
Words from the architect
The clients wanted 8 apartment-buildings, based on the use of sustainable solutions and technologies, and on the integration of the relevant green spaces.

South Facade containing large openings and greenhouses.
The exposed walls towards the north are made up of very dense concrete. The south side on the other hand is made up of a slightly lower density concrete, to provide sufficient shelter and at the same time sufficient transpiration during the summer seasons. Internal plastering is mortar-based, whereas the external plastering is concrete-based. External windows are made up of thermal-cut aluminum. Internal flooring is finished with cement on the ground floor. Industrial parquet flooring is used for the first floor.

The cube is a compact volume, bio-climatic and allows optimal use of the housing spaces.
Each unit is organized on two levels. The "Day area" is on the ground floor with the living room, and the night zone is on the first floor containing the roof garden. Solar greenhouses in the front and back, act as access buffers.
