The building seems to float, because of the horizontal openings in the low and high parts of the lightweight walls.

Words from the architect

To give an appropriate place for the workers of the vineyards, where they could eat, rest, and get together for eventual party meetings. The idea was to design a small, fluid and clear space, with a lightweight floating shell, with horizontal openings to give natural light to the interior as well as to have the amazing landscape views. The exteriors areas was designed to give shelter form the suffocating summer days. It has a covered corridor next to garden with trees and vineyards.

The simple lines and transparency are an essential quality of the project.

Materials used include: Reinforced Concrete polished floor, for easy cleaning and durability. Steel structure in walls and roof. "Zincalum" lining (Zinc+Aluminium panel). Treated plywood on the entrance, wood furniture.

The clarity of the interior colors together with the dinning furniture makes the dinner hour a pleasant moment.

Space includes: Dinning Area with 2 tables, a bar and one bench. A central fireplace. It separate the project in four virtual areas: Main entrance, garden entrance, dining area, kitchen. Exterior covered corridor. To reduce the temperature and give shadow on lunch time.

The North Eaves of the roof cover the whole corridor to give shadow in Summer and rain water protection in Winter. The main entrance is defined by the metal shield who cover the whole lobby area.

This lining wood panel is the only exterior wall made of this material, that is supporting the metal shield of the entrance. The lighting emphasize the feeling of floating shapes.

The pivot door communicate the interior with the covered corridor. The fireplace is the central space of the interior.
