The Apartment House in Ljubljana presents an innovative facade, treated as an interface between the interiors and the surrounding context as well as their varied characteristics.

View of entry to the Apartment House.

The facade is made of three different materials: a stone facing, which outlines individual apartments, a combination of reflexive and transparent glass panels which either reflect the surrounding area off the apartment or reveal the interior of the apartment to the surroundings, and a filigree base with ornamentation.

The facade is composed of stone panels, glass and a filigree base.

The facade functions as an interface between the structure and the living character of the metropolitan vertical lofts on one hand, and the almost village-like atmosphere of the area on which the Gradaska apartment house is located.
