"This design was a special case. It was a response to the devaluation of Argentine currency (the Peso). We needed to come up with household products that were inexpensive and served the same old purposes.
We pitched a few designs for a table spice rack to Decormesa S.A. - A company that had been dedicated solely to importing and selling household products.

We came up with a very simple, modern and cheap model; basically consisting of a metallic base and PET pre-forms (used in manufacture of soft drink plastic bottles). They (the client) were taken by the idea and bought out the design from us. And soon after, began producing it.
This trend caught on, and here (Argentina) lots of companies from the bazaar sector wanted to collaborate with us. We ended up jointly holding a few exhibitions with them. The bazaar sector already is a very dynamic sector at the moment, and is definitely looking up."
