The Soft Radio hides its buttons and displays within its design.

Listening to the radio at bedtime...
(You are tuned in to your favourite station).
Trying to switch on the snooze mode,
(Reaching over to that cluttered bedside table),
You touch that dreaded AM button once again.
You manage.
Waking up, the alarm goes off too loud;
Somnolent as you still are, you cannot find
The off-switch right away.
Somehow, you manage to hit that
Hard-edged thing; well,
Unpleasant - but it finally gets you up. It doesn't have to be that way.

Side view of the product.

The soft radio hides all fiddly buttons and displays. In fact, it does not need any. The idea was to develop some kind of friendly companion that you can fall asleep with and wakes you up.

The brushed aluminium panel can be flicked open to set things like time, alarm, snooze duration and the stations you are likely to listen to. These interface elements are well hidden, because they rarely change. The motion sensor knows when you are asleep and switches off. It also senses when you have not gotten up and raises the volume. As all electronic components are safely encapsulated in elastic foam - covered in a washable removable Lycra® "sock" - you may drop it, hit it, or toss it around, there'll be no damage. The optional suction cap allows you to stick it on bathroom or kitchen tiles or any flat surface.
