"Folding gives strength to matter," says Massimiliano Fuksas of his designs for Alessi, composed as patterns in an endless interplay of material, dimension and color. Featured here are his designs that imbibe this simple yet sensual formal approach to product design.

The Product Range
Fuksas creates yet another innovative and inspiring range of products, this time around for the house of Alessi. Sculpted in singular continuous planes with material as the sole protagonist, Fuksas' designs for objects of everyday use lend them an unprecedented sensuality. Coffee mugs, pots and flower vases are realized as lightweight, impalpable objects simply by enclosing on itself a sheet of delicate porcelain, silver, plastic or glass.
