Established in 2001 in Trieste, the office of Waltritsch A+U is part of an established network of international architectural practices operating in Central and North Europe and in the Balkans.
Realized projects include the Casanova Urban Plan in Bolzano for 1,000 new dwellings & services and the Palazzo del Cinema in Gorizia.
The office is currently developing a product and image diffusion center "CasaDelser' in Udine and an office renovation for Tmedia in Gorizia and Agemar in Trieste.
The office has gained reputation for carrying out work in broad regions of northern Italy in partnership with firms such as Morphosis Architects and Gigantes Zenghelis.
Since 2002 Waltritsch A+U and De Architekten Cie, Amsterdam have worked in collaboration providing services in urban planning and building design to the municipalities of Bolzano, Roma and Trieste.
Principal architect Dimitri Waltritsch (1966) has trained at the IUAV in Venezia (Degree in Architecture) and at The Berlage Institute Amsterdam (Master of Excellence in Architecture).
Dimitri Waltritsch has been juror for the Osterreicher Bauherren Preis, visiting lecturer at the Columbia University in New York, the Berlage Institute in Amsterdam, the Universities of Venezia and Trieste.
