"The elemental use of steel and timber, and a clear expression of surface and junction, echo the immediate natural and historic built environment." says Sam Crawford Architects on their design for Bundeena Beach House. More

Approach
We approach each brief, each client and each site as a unique opportunity. We believe that successful buildings, whether large or small, are designed to enrich people's lives and the quality of their environment.Service
We provide a complete architectural service, from design concept, to council approval, detailed design and documentation, contract administration, and project management.
Clients
Our clients are the basis of our practice. Many return to us, and refer us to friends, again and again. A successful design is that which meets our clients' needs and exceeds their expectations.
Budget
We understand that not delivering a building on budget is the number one reason for the architecture profession's negative public image. We make it our priority, from the start, to deliver every project on budget. To this end, each project is independently costed at sketch design, and reviewed at each stage to completion. We do not see budgetary constraint as a limit to innovation, but rather as a generator.
Detail
Attention to detail is the hallmark our practice, and our service. No query goes unanswered, no concern ignored, no problem left unsolved.
Experience
Our body of experience spans from small interior refurbishments and alterations and additions, to large luxury houses and boutique apartment buildings. We have extensive experience with heritage and conservation, and have dealt with more local Council's than we care to number.
Sustainability
We take a long term view of sustainability and conservation. Ecologically sustainable design underpins our work and educates our entire decision making.
Collaboration
We believe that great buildings result from great clients. Design is an interative process. We encourage our clients to be involved in design decision making throughout their project. We endeavor to clearly communicate with, and educate and assist our clients throughout this process, so that the experience of designing and building a home or other project is a rewarding and satisfying one.
Team
Practice and design director, Sam Crawford is intimately involved with each stage of every project undertaken by the practice. In addition, each job is assigned a project architect to deal with the day to day running of the project.
