Malcolm C. Burton (1968)
Malcolm C. Burton, Architect, LLC was formed in 2007 by the managing member, Malcolm C. Burton, AIA, who has over 15 years of professional experience. Mr. Burton is a registered architect in the states of New Jersey and Oregon. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is a professional member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).
Mr. Burton's professional experience includes the design of over one hundred residential additions, alterations, and new custom homes. Mr. Burton's commercial experience includes the design of fire stations, public schools, office buildings, restaurants, manufacturing plants, minimum security prisons, forest work camps, warehouse buildings, airplane hangars, community centers, churches, mausoleums, and fire escapes, to name a few.
All of Mr. Burton's projects are approached individually. Design solutions are a synthesis of the clients needs and desires, budget, code requirements, and engineering principles.
A typical project will begin with a preliminary phase. During this phase, Mr. Burton will gather information from the client and the project site to create concept drawings. These drawings are then reviewed with the client and adjusted as required to meet the clients wishes. After the client's approval of the preliminary drawings, detailed construction documents are created. These drawings are used for bidding, building permit application and construction by your general contactor.
Other professional services are available, including bidding services, shop drawing review, and review of payment applications. Mr. Burton also has a network of special consultants that can be brought to the project team as required.
