HOLODECK architects is a team of collaborators lead by Marlies Breuss and Michael Ogertschnig.
Both received their diplomas in architecture at the Technical University of Vienna.
Marlies Breuss completed her studies with a master's degree at the Southern California Institute of Architecture - SCIArc in Los Angeles. Following which, she worked for several years as an instructor and scientist at the Institute for Housing and Design at the TU Vienna.
Michael Ogertschnig pursued further studies at the IAAS/MACBA in Barcelona.
They remain active as teachers and researchers while working as architects.
The offices in Vienna and Berlin have been in operation since 1998.
Analysis and interpretation of the local context, research and new combinations of user-programs, and the spatial-complex-transposition are the main design elements of the firm.
