Gianluca Milesi
A multi-disciplinary and artistic approach to architecture with a particular attention to the digital culture environment and technology marks the designs of Gianluca Milesi Architecture.
The office in Milan, and previously in New York, has worked on a number of architectural projects of varying scale and character, carried out extensive research and experimentation in the digital environment and has participated in international competitions.
Their work has also been exhibited internationally such as at the Venice Biennale 2000 and at the Art of Italian Design in 2006.
A solo exhibition: 'Spaced Out, Gianluca Milesi, Architectural Exercises', was held at SESV (University of Florence) in May 2003.
Gianluca Milesi taught at the Polytechnic of Milan and was a visiting critic at Pratt Institute and Columbia University in New York. He is the author of several articles for architectural magazines and of 'New York the Gap' - a guide book on contemporary architecture in New York City published by Testo e Immagine and Marsilio Publishers.
He is also the curator of the architectural section of Mixedmedia International Festival Of Electronic Culture held every year at the Hangar Bicocca in Milan.
