Philosophy
Dick van Gameren architecten is a, to Dutch standards, medium sized architectural firm. The office is situated near the centre of Amsterdam, and accomodated in a office building with five other architectural firms.
The office has about 25 employees. The core business of the firm is to design buildings and to advise on all related architectural matters. Dick van Gameren is Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the internationally high ranked University of Delft. Within this faculty he is specialized in Housing Design.
All activities, related to the architectural part, during design and construction of the buildings are done by the firm itself. For advise on engineering and services (electrical, mechanical, transport) we work together with specialized firms and international renowned consultants.
