A rediscovered wooden truss dating back to the eighteenth century emerges as the generator and focus of this design scheme to renovate an apartment in Troia, Italy. More
Antonio Stefano Cibelli (1968) and Piero Guadagno (1969) graduated in architecture at the "La Sapienza" University in Rome.
In 1997 they set up Cibelli + Guadagno Associated Architects.
Since 1998 they have worked at several architectural restorations and functional renovations of historical buildings and have designed museums, houses and shops.
In 2000 they took part at the Biennale of Venice.
Since 2002 they have been involved in the restoration of the Cathedral of Troia (a 12th century basilica).
They worked with University of Basilicata as lecturers in a post graduate degrees focusing on studying and promoting historical towns.
At present they are in charge of the functional renovation of two 18th century convents.
