"With its widespread voluminous canopy of leaves and its knaggy branches it seems to be even older than the river, the streets and the building development. Christ & Gantenbein Architects is a young Swiss architecture company which was established in 1998. Since then, they have participated in numerous competitions and projects. One of them under construction is the reconstruction and extension of the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, Switzerland. This was the start of a long series of jobs dealing with both the old and the new, and this theme has followed them throughout different residential realisations. As well as this, Christ & Gantenbein is currently taking part in various large-scale city developments and in several urban planning schemes.
